The Holmes is within easy reach of Edinburgh for days out and is centrally placed for all the major tourist attractions of the Scottish Borders.
For those who wish to leave the car behind there are good pathways, many running alongside the river tweed, to allow touring round the local sites of interests with a few good places to stop and eat or shop along the way.
There is also a number of horse-riding schools including the Dryden riding school at nearby Selkirk.
